    WASHINGTON: A number of members of Donald Trump’s incoming administration have acquired threats together with bomb alerts, the FBI mentioned Wednesday (Nov 27), with one nominee reporting a pipe bomb scare despatched with a pro-Palestinian message.

    “The FBI is conscious of quite a few bomb threats and swatting incidents concentrating on incoming administration nominees and appointees, and we’re working with our legislation enforcement companions,” the company mentioned in an announcement.

    Swatting refers back to the observe wherein police are summoned urgently to somebody’s home beneath false pretences. Such hoax calls are widespread in america and have seen quite a few senior political figures focused in recent times.

    Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for Trump’s transition workforce, earlier mentioned that a number of appointees and nominees “have been focused in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those that reside with them”.
