A horrific incident occurred Sunday morning on a United Airways flight from Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, to New York, which brought on the 104 passengers to be evacuated.
No accidents have been reported. Passengers reportedly used the emergency slide to exit the aircraft on the runway.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Steve Kuhlm stated in a press release, “The crew of United Airways Flight 1382 safely aborted its takeoff from the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport in Texas attributable to a reported engine situation round 8:35 a.m. native time on Sunday, Feb. 2. Passengers deplaned on the runway and had been bused to the terminal. The Airbus A319 was flying to LaGuardia Airport in New York. The FAA will examine. Contact the airline for extra info.”
Passengers might be heard panicking after an engine on the correct wing of the aircraft caught ablaze.
“Please, please, please get us off of right here,” one lady might be heard saying because the flight attendant stated over the intercom, “Please stay seated till additional directions by the captain.”
“No, it’s on fireplace!” one man hollered.
