    Arkansas throttles North Carolina A&T for fifth straight win


    The Arkansas Razorbacks (10-2) earned their fifth straight victory with a 95-67 win over North Carolina A&T (3-10) on Saturday inside Bud Walton Area. 

    The Razorbacks struggled to tug away from the Aggies early within the contest, however ultimately settled in to take a 54-31 benefit to the locker room at halftime. 

    It was all Arkansas within the second half, with the Hogs eclipsing the 90-point mark for the third time this season. 

    A robust double-double effort from Jonas Aidoo (17 factors, 11 rebounds) was complemented by double-figure efforts from Adou Thiero (14 factors), Boogie Fland (12 factors), Karter Knox (11 factors), Trevon Brazile (11 factors), D.J. Wagner (10 factors) and Billy Richmond III (10 factors). 

    The Razorbacks’ protection additionally had a hand within the victory, as Arkansas held North Carolina A&T to 36% capturing from the sphere. Ryan Forrest led the Aggies’ cost with 19 factors. Landon Glasper (16 factors) was the one different Aggie to achieve double figures. 

    One notable absence for Arkansas was former Florida Atlantic guard Johnell Davis, who missed Saturday’s recreation with wrist soreness. 

    John Calipari and the Razorbacks have one closing non-conference matchup earlier than beginning SEC play on Jan. 4. Oakland, which knocked Calipari’s closing Kentucky group out of the NCAA Event in March, will go to Bud Walton Area on Dec. 30 in Arkansas’ closing tuneup earlier than the gauntlet of SEC play begins.
