The Metropolitan Police Division is investigating a suspicious bundle found simply 5 miles from the White Home, heightening safety issues forward of Congress’s certification of the 2024 presidential election.
Authorities confirmed that the bundle was discovered within the 5000 block of Hayes Avenue NE on Sunday afternoon, in keeping with the Daily Mail.
Members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit had been dispatched to the scene at 2:15 p.m. to evaluate the merchandise.
